The Perse Prep Exam Dates

  • Application deadline will be on the 1st of December 2020
  • Entrance Exams:
    • Year 3: Monday 11 – Friday 15 January 2021 (9am – 12.30pm or 1.30pm – 5pm)

The Perse Prep Exam Styles

The school evaluates all applicants for a place in the academic year prior to entry. School test English (reading, writing, comprehension), Mathematics (general paper, mental maths) and Reasoning (verbal and non-verbal). School selects applicants who are working at least one year above the national average and applicants with potential and general academic curiosity. Applicants will meet with the Head on the examination day, but there is no interview.

The Perse School 11+ and 13+ Exam Dates

  • Registration deadline: 1st of December 2020.
  • Entrance tests in September 2021 will take place at The Perse on Saturday, 16 January 2021.
  • Offers are usually made at the beginning of February, and the acceptance deadline is during March.

Perse School 11 Plus and 13 Plus Exam Styles

  • The entrance test consists of papers in Maths, English and Verbal reasoning and followed by a short informal interview with a Perse teacher. Applicants for Year 9 entry will also be given a short humanities exercise, which is purely skills-based and does not require any specific preparation. A confidential reference will be sought from the child’s current school.
  • Pupils with Special Educational Needs should discuss their application with the school prior to the entrance test.
