St Paul’s Boys School 7+ Exam Dates

  • All applicants are required to sit a written exam. Successful applicants will be invited back for half-day group assessments, after which offers will be made. A reference will be requested from the Head of an applicant’s current school.
  • Entrance examination information letters/emails are sent in May and November.

Entrance Test:

  • Applicants are invited to St Paul’s Juniors to sit tests in English, Mathematics and Reasoning.
  • Applicants who perform well in the written tests are invited back for a short interview and group assessment tasks.

St Paul’s 11+ Exam Styles

  • ISEB online pre-test in English, Mathematics, Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning.
  • Successful applicants will then take further tests in English and Mathematics.
  • Applicants who perform well in the written tests are invited back for a short interview.

St Paul’s School 13+ Exam Dates

  • Stage One: ISEB online common pre-test taken at current school or St Paul’s School: Between 5 October – 27 November 2020
  • Parents and schools advised of the outcome of stage one: Mid-December 2020
  • Stage Two: Interviews for selected boys: January – July 2021
  • Acceptance of Main List place with deposit: By July 2022
  • Scholarship examinations: 1, 2, 3 May 2023

St Paul’s Boys School 13+ Exam Styles

Entrance Test:

  • Stage one: All registered applicants are required to take the ISEB online pre-test in October or November of Year 6.
  • Stage two: Interviews take place between January and July of Year 6.
  • Applicants will take two 20 minute papers, one in English and one in Mathematics.
