Emanuel School 10+ Exam Dates

10+ Entrance exam (timings TBC in December): Saturday, 16th January 2021.

Scholarship and bursary application forms will be available for download from the school website: Friday, 11th September 2020.

Deadline for receipt of end of year 4 school report (please send as soon as possible): Tuesday, 3rd November 2020.

Deadline for receipt of educational psychologist’s report (if applicable); required for consideration for extra time or use of a computer in exam: Friday, 13th November 2020 5pm.

Deadline for scholarship and bursary applications: Friday, 15th November 2019 at 5pm.

Interviews will be on Monday, 2nd of November- Friday, 11th of December 2020.

Offer letters sent out by first class post: Thursday, 11th of February 2021.

Offer acceptance deadline: Friday, 5th of March 2021 mid-day.

Emanuel School 10+ Exam Styles

The examination consists of English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning

Mathematics is for 45 minutes which focuses on arithmetic and problem solving sections the same as the previous years.

English is for 45 minutes which focus on the composition element that is associated with the comprehension section. In addition to short comprehension answers, there will also be at least one longer answer where writing a short passage will be required.

Verbal Reasoning is for 30 minutes.

Interviews: All applicants registered for the 10+ process will be interviewed individually as usual. These interviews will now be held over Zoom from Monday, 2nd of November. Applicants will be asked about their academic interest and extracurricular activities during the interview. Also, they will be given tasks in mental mathematics elements and reading an article which will be discussed with the interviewer.

Emanuel School 11+ Exam Styles

Entry examinations consist of English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning.
